After an accident
After an accident, in this order
The same steps apply to a car crash and a work injury.
- 01
Step 1: Get checked first
If you were hurt, get care first: call 911, go to an emergency room or urgent care, or see your own doctor. Chiropractic care can wait until you have been checked.
- 02
Step 2: Report what happened
Tell your auto insurer or your employer. Write down the claim number and the name of the person handling it.
- 03
Step 3: Keep your papers
Keep discharge papers, photos and names. Bring them to a first visit if you choose to see us.
- 04
Step 4: Choose a doctor when you are ready
You decide whether and when to book. You can see us, another chiropractor or a physician. We don't call or write people about an accident; you contact us when you want to.
- 05
Step 5: Call the intake line
(817) 555-0103 reaches all five offices. Your first call covers the steps on our home page, and nothing about your injury is asked on the phone.
Bills
How bills are handled
What a plan pays depends on the plan. We explain what we know before your first visit.
Auto medical coverage
Many auto policies carry medical coverage. We check what yours says, with your permission, and tell you what we find before a visit.
Your health plan
A health plan may pay for chiropractic visits. We check benefits first and call you with any copay or deductible.
Workers' compensation
If the injury happened at work, your claim contact decides who may treat you. Ask them before you book.
Paying yourself
You get a written estimate before your first visit and an itemized receipt after each visit.
How fees work
What we do, and what we do not
What we do

Suggest a care plan and let you decide
Send records to you or your attorney when you ask in writing
What we do not do
Give legal advice
Tell you whether or how to file a claim
Promise a result or a claim outcome
Contact you first about an accident
Questions after an accident
Do I need a lawyer before I book?
No. You can book a visit on your own. We don't give legal advice and we don't tell you whether to file a claim.
Can you send my records to my attorney or insurer?
Yes, when you ask in writing. We send what the request names.
Can I use any of the five offices?
Yes. Every office uses the same intake and the same steps.
What if my claim has not been decided?
You can still book. We tell you the cost of each part of a visit before it happens, and explain how it would be paid while the claim is open.
