Care

Spinal adjustment

Hands-on or instrument-assisted adjustments to the spine and joints, chosen for you and explained before they start.

Your doctor picks a technique after the exam and tells you what to expect. You can ask questions, ask for a change or stop at any point.

What a visit includes, and what it does not

  1. What a visit includes

An exam, a talk about the technique your doctor suggests and the adjustment itself, if you agree. For a neck adjustment, your doctor asks about your history first and explains the risks before starting.

  2. How long and how often

Your doctor sets a plan with you after the exam. We don't promise a number of visits or a result, and the plan changes as you do.

  3. What we do not claim

We don't say an adjustment cures anything or replaces medical care, and we don't promise a result.

  4. When to see a physician first

Some symptoms need a medical doctor first. Your doctor asks about this at the exam and refers you when that is the better first step.

  5. Your health plan, auto medical coverage or paying yourself. Read how fees work, or ask the front desk before you book.

Questions about this care

Will the adjustment pop?

Sometimes you hear or feel a pop. Not hearing one does not mean the adjustment didn't work, and some techniques use no twisting at all.

Is a neck adjustment right for everyone?

No. Your doctor asks about your history, explains the risks and may choose a different technique or send you to a physician first.

Can I stop in the middle of a visit?

Yes. Tell your doctor and they will stop.
