Questions about care
Is chiropractic care safe?
Some people feel sore for a day or two after an adjustment. Rarely, a neck adjustment has been linked to a tear in an artery in the neck; research has not shown whether the adjustment causes it. Your doctor asks about your history first and explains the risks before any neck adjustment. If a visit would not be right for you, your doctor sends you to a physician.
Will the adjustment hurt?
Many people feel pressure or hear a pop, and some are sore afterward. Tell your doctor at any point and they will change the technique or stop. You can say no to any part of a visit.
How many visits will I need?
Your doctor sets a plan with you after the exam. We don't promise a number of visits or a result, and the plan changes as you do.
Do I need x-rays?
Only when medically necessary. Your doctor tells you why before ordering one and answers your questions. If you already have images from an emergency room or another provider, bring them.
